My name is Ruta, and I’ve lived in Vilnius all my life. My love for food began in childhood, watching my grandmother cook in her cozy kitchen. She was my first teacher — showing me how to create unforgettable flavors with simple, high-quality ingredients. Her warmth, patience, and deep connection to tradition still inspire every dish I make today.

For me, cooking is a peaceful form of meditation and a way to express creativity. I often compare it to painting: the ingredients are my colors, and every dish becomes a canvas full of emotion, flavor, and memory. The smells and tastes we create in the kitchen are like brushstrokes — each one contributing to a bigger story.

Over the years, my family and friends have been my eager tasters, honest critics, and biggest supporters. About ten years ago, I decided it was time to open my kitchen to the world and began hosting private dinners and later introduced cooking classes for travelers visiting Vilnius. What started as a small passion project has now become a heartfelt experience that I share together with my husband. We host each gathering with joy, inviting guests to step into our home, experience the beauty of Lithuanian hospitality, and cook traditional meals the way our families did.

Whether you join us for a cooking class or a homemade dinner, our goal is simple: to make you feel like you’re part of the family — welcomed, well-fed, and warmly remembered.

Welcome!
